Reliably detect objects through holes & crevices
The coaxial LASER sensor has the transmitting and the receiving element on the same axis. This means that the bundled and reflected light can also reach the receiver on the same axis. This allows objects to be detected through holes or gaps.

The alignment and reception quality can be read on the external amplifier. The switching point can be set on the amplifier without touching the sensor head.

Compact sensor heads can be realized by using amplifiers (evaluation units).

The threshold tracking function of the LS-500 helps to keep the measured values stable in the long term, even with changes in light intensity (e.g. dust, light irradiation, etc.)
The LS-500 can perform three logical operations (AND, OR and XOR) independently.

Diffuse sensors, background suppressors or retro-reflective sensors can be influenced by other nearby design elements. This is mainly due to 2 reasons:


  • Due to the large opening angle of the transmitter, light is reflected from other constructive parts. The receiver detects the light signal and switches!


  • Transmitter and receiver elements are placed one above the other in the sensor by design. As a result, the transmitter or the receiver is always in the shadow.


In comparison, the coaxial LASER probe has the transmitter and the receiver on the same axis. This allows the focused and reflected light to reach the receiver on the same axis.

The alignment and reception quality can be read on the external amplifier. The switching point can be set on the amplifier without touching the sensor head.
