The minimum resistor value to associate is 2.5Ohm. This braking unit allows Altivar 71 drives to operate while braking to a standstill or during “generator” operation, by dissipating the energy in the braking resistor. Its protection index is IP20. Thermal protection is provided by an integrated temperature probe. It weighs 28kg.
