Solution for automatic gate and barrier opening |
Alternative to induction loops for automatic barriers! An induction or ground loop for detecting vehicles consists of several turns of wire laid in a narrow slot in the ground. Using heavy equipment and a lot of dust, grooves are milled into the pavement for this purpose. The wire coils are then inserted into the milled groove and sealed again with grouting compound. This system can be recognized by the unsightly, usually different colored lines on the ground in front of the parking barrier. The induction loops only detect large vehicles! Anything non-metallic will not be detected by the system. Vehicles with a high proportion of aluminum and plastic, such as mobile homes, do not always reliably trigger the magnetic loops. Smaller objects such as bicycles can also cause difficulties for the system. If you pass under the barrier as a pedestrian or cyclist and are not careful, you will have an unpleasant encounter with the closing barrier. Here you will find ideas and possible solutions for exactly this application. |
