Fine dust monitor, particle measuring device

Fine dust monitor, particle measuring device

Monitor the proportion of particles in the air

PMX Particulate Matter Meter Fine Particulate Matter Meter
Intelligent exhaust air control
The PMX particle sensor monitors the proportion of particles in the air, for example caused by smoke or steam. Typically, commercial kitchen hoods are turned on in the morning and left running continuously until the evening. The PMX sensor makes it possible to adjust the hoods depending on the amount of smoke. In this way, ventilation is controlled according to actual demand, resulting in significant energy and cost savings.

Features
  • Highly visible LED display
  • High resolution analog output allows light transmission to be monitored by an external system
  • High detection speed of 100 microseconds
  • Calibration function allows manual adjustment of sensitivity by the user

Environmental monitoring
Restaurants and commercial kitchens around the world operate for hours at a time, generating a significant amount of smoke depending on the amount of food being prepared. While the ventilation systems in the buildings are in operation throughout the day, the ventilation unit of the hood can be connected to demand-controlled ventilation sensors to adjust the speed depending on the amount of smoke detected.
This saves energy!

Virtually every manufacturing facility produces particulate matter around the clock as a natural result of its work. From the machines that produce goods to the people and vehicles that transport and pick items in warehouses. Ventilation sensors can help companies not only remove potentially hazardous particles in the air, but also achieve long-term savings.
People typically spend 80-90 percent of their time indoors, whether at work or during leisure time. For this reason, indoor air quality is of great importance. Offices and large buildings can pose a risk to occupant safety, especially if they are older or their ventilation systems do not adequately supply outside air. In these cases, demand-controlled ventilation sensors are a necessity.

As board or in housing
The particle monitor is available in two versions. Once as a PCB for OEM applications and as a finished device in a NEMA 4X housing to protect the components.

The transmitter is mounted up to 10 meters from the receiver module, then aligned and adjusted to focus the light on the receiver. Illuminance is adjusted to ensure optimum operation, at the distance and light transmission range required for the application. An adjustable threshold allows the operator to set the switching point of the discrete output.

A two-digit display indicates signal strength and allows for quick and easy setup. The PMX sensor has both a switching output (PNP and NPN) and an analog 0-5V output. The analog output is used to communicate the current state of the air to the ventilation controller. This then controls the exhaust fans according to the air quality.
