Luminescence sensors are used in industrial production and quality control in many areas. UV sensors usually operate in the frequency range of 370nm. Added lumifors and brighteners in markings, glues, paints, paper, plastics, etc., reflect the UV light and are thus detected by the sensor. The special advantage of such admixtures is essentially that they only become visible under the influence of UV light. The patented technology built into the sensors thus reliably secures the processes. The UVX sensors are suitable for very fast applications and can also be used under robust conditions without problems. The sensors differ from each other by their working range, measuring point diameter and adjustability.

Know-How
Functional Principle
Luminescence is cold light excited by a chemical reaction. It is emitted by the absorption of radiant energy. It behaves differently than incandescence, as visible light is emitted due to the temperature of the object. The sensor emits UV light, which "activates" luminescent material and causes it to reflect visible light, which the sensor can detect and evaluate.
Various materials already contain enough luminescent pigments, such as lacquers, adhesives, lubricants, oils, colored or felt-tip pens. However, you can also add luminescent pigments to your product yourself. These cannot be detected by the human eye, but are detectable by the luminescence sensor. For example, you can create a brand on a package that is invisible to the human eye and therefore does not affect the appearance of the package.
With this technique invisible marks can be made detectable!
